Hi my name is Johanna Gilan and I’m an industrial designer with a bachelor degree in sustainable design from Konstfack. When it comes to creating and designing I am multidisciplinary and have both digital, theoretical and practical skills in my toolbox. This enables me to work on the whole design process.

Everything from ideation and sketching, to creating in CAD or building physical prototypes in wood, metal or by sewing.

My toolbox also includes more theoretical aspects of design as design thinking, systems design, UX design, and working with loops and cycles in both workflow and materials. I also enjoy writing and working with copywriting. 

​

My professional background is as an interior designer, which I have an education in. I have also run my own interior design firm before deciding to further my career as an Industrial designer. 

​

Other than that I love working in my garden, writing and doing ceramic on my free time. I’m curious and social and love both learning new things and teaching them to others.
